Money Saving Monday

Welcome to Money Saving Monday, as a blogger I am always looking through websites and searching shops for the next item of clothing or beauty purchase. I recently begun to realise that I don't need all that I am buying and instead of spending I can use the money to save for something that is worth more than clothes, shoes and bags. So let's comb through our wardrobes and empty those make up bags for items we haven't loved much recently and are gathering dust!

Hello All!

I recently found that I have been spending way too much money on clothes and even though I do bargain as much as I can, the costs do ad up.

I posted a comment on a facebook page asking if anyone would want to join me for a spending ban this month and I had a great response so I made it into a blog challenge! (Title invented by Debz).

I have recently been looking through my wardrobe at clothes I haven't worn in a while and I came across this smock dress from ASOS. I know I have worn it before on the blog but I couldn't resist getting it on and getting some snaps of it.

I am loving this challenge and hopefully I will last the whole month.

Here are the other ladies taking part!

Much Love,

Oo La La!

Hello Lovelies!

I couldn't think of a better title! Sorry not sorry. HAHA!!

I was recently contacted by La Redoute to take part in a competition to Win a trip to Paris (the fashion capital of the world) and also become one of their ambassadors as well.

This was very exciting news to me! I love Paris and I cannot believe they have asked me to compete! Thank you La Redoute for this opportunity!

They also have something for you lovely people to check out too! It's their Secrets to French style but I'm sharing it specially with all of you. You don't have to thank me. Hehehe!!

All that is left for me to do is share a style tip with you.

Before I began writing this blog, many of my friends would say, my sense of style was a bit off. Personally, I think I just wanted to wear what I thought was comfortable and affordable. Now I have seen the error of my ways!

My style tip would be to experiment with everything! Whether it be colour, shape or cut! Clothes suit every body, it just depends on how you choose to style them.

These are a few outfits that I have experimented with, that before I would never ever dreamed of buying. This was purely because I thought I was too large to wear these sort of prints or colours. What I have learnt now is that you are never 'too' anything to wear the clothes that you like!

The Tie Die Maxi and The Floral Print Stripes

The Floral Smock and The Neon Pink Midi

The Landscape Print Midi and The Red Cut-Out
The Floral Prom Dress and The Yellow Tunic

I would just like to say thank you to the wonderful plus size bloggers that have inspired me to really step out of my comfort zone and also to all the people supporting me on my blog journey!

Love you all!!

Flower Power!

Hello Lovelies,

Just a quick update on my laptop first. I have sent it off to be fixed and hopefully will have it back by the end of the week. Thank goodness we have an abundance of then in my house or I'd be stuck and wouldn't be able to share my thoughts with you guys!

Okay, now moving on to the outfit post I have for you.

This is another dress I have seen many wonderful plus size bloggers wearing and I got it as a gift for Christmas but only been able to wear it now because the weather was so good over the week end.

Sorry for the squinting, the sun was in my eyes!!

  1. Dress, ASOS - Gift
  2. Cardigan, Marks and Spencer - Old
  3. Bag, H&M - Old
  4. Ring - A random shop in York
  5. Headband - DIY
  6. Shoes - Vans
I love this dress!! It is so comfortable, it's a size 20 and I wouldn't size down because I think it would have been too short if I did. I love floral prints and this dress would be perfect to wear in the spring and summer.

What is your favourite floral piece? Please do share!

Much Love,
